Step into the heart of Central Asia and discover the architectural wonders, cultural treasures, and breathtaking landscapes of Uzbekistan — the jewel of the Silk Road. This immersive 10-day tour takes you through three UNESCO-listed cities: Khiva, Bukhara, and Samarkand, each echoing with centuries of history, from Zoroastrian temples and Islamic masterpieces to Timurid splendor.

Upon arrival at the airport in Tashkent, you’ll be warmly welcomed after clearing customs.
Begin your journey with a guided tour of Uzbekistan’s modern capital:

  • Explore the Khazrat-i-Imam Complex, home to the 7th-century Uthman Quran, one of the world’s oldest.

  • Visit Barak Khan and Moyie Mubarek Madrasahs, and the Friday Mosque.

  • Discover the Chorsu Bazaar, the city’s oldest and most vibrant marketplace.

  • See the Kukeldash Madrasah, rebuilt in 2007, and walk through Eski Juva, the old city.

Later in the day (or midday), fly to Urgench, followed by a short transfer to Khiva (30 km).
Check-in at the Silk Road Caravanserai Hotel or similar.

Full day guided tour of Khiva, a stunning open-air museum and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Explore the walled inner city, Itchan Kala, perfectly preserved between the 18th–20th centuries.

  • Visit the Tash Khauli Palace, home of Khiva’s Khans, with its richly decorated courtyard and aïwan.

  • Climb the Ak-Sheikh-Bobo Tower for panoramic views.

  • Admire the Islam Khodja Minaret, the tallest in the city.

  • Enter the Djouma Mosque, known for its 200 intricately carved wooden pillars.

  • Discover the Mausoleum of Pakhlavan Mahmud, Khiva’s patron saint.

Free time in the afternoon to wander or relax.

After breakfast, enjoy free time in Khiva.
In the afternoon, board a train through the Kyzylkum Desert en route to Bukhara.

Upon arrival, transfer to Helene Oasis Hotel or similar.
Evening at leisure.

A full day to explore Bukhara, once a major center of Islamic learning and Persian culture.

  • Tour the Po-i-Kalyan Complex (mosque, minaret & madrasah).

  • Visit the Ulugh Beg Madrasah and explore the covered trading domes of the old bazaar.

  • Wander around the Lyab-i Hauz ensemble — a tranquil square surrounded by historical buildings.

  • Visit Magoki-Attori Mosque and the charming Chor Minor, with its unique four towers.

Afternoon:

  • Tour the Ark Citadel, residence of Bukhara’s emirs until 1920.

  • Visit Bala Hauz Mosque (“mosque by the pool”).

  • End with the Samanid Mausoleum, a rare gem of early Islamic architecture.

Overnight at Helene Oasis or similar.

After a free morning in Bukhara, transfer to the station for your train to Samarkand — the jewel of the Silk Road.

Upon arrival, check-in at Jahongir Guesthouse or similar.

Begin your tour of this fabled city, rich in history and color:

  • Marvel at Registan Square, a masterpiece of Islamic architecture with three majestic madrasahs.

  • Visit the Bibi-Khanym Mosque, once the largest in the Islamic world.

  • Browse the local bazaar, a feast for the senses.

  • Explore Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum, final resting place of Tamerlane.

  • Tour the Museum of Cultural History, featuring an impressive archaeological section.

Overnight at Jahongir Guesthouse.

Continue your visit with Samarkand’s spiritual and scientific landmarks:

  • Wander the breathtaking Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis, a corridor of mosaic-covered mausoleums.

  • Visit the Ulugh Beg Observatory, home of the great 15th-century astronomer king.

Booking & Payment Terms

Your reservation will be confirmed upon receipt of written acceptance and a deposit of 30% of the total trip cost. Following your acceptance of the quotation, an invoice detailing the deposit payment instructions will be sent via email.

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days prior to departure, without the need for a reminder. For bookings made less than 30 days before departure, full payment is required at the time of confirmation.


Client Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your booking, the following terms apply:

  • More than 45 days before departure: Full refund minus a $100 administrative fee per person

  • 44 to 30 days before departure: 50% of the total trip cost will be retained

  • 29 to 15 days before departure: 75% of the total trip cost will be retained

  • Less than 15 days before departure: No refund

  • Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.

  • The date we receive your cancellation will determine the refund amount.

  • No refunds will be issued for any trip that is interrupted, shortened, or unused due to personal reasons.


Cancellation by Jahongir Travel

In rare cases, Jahongir Travel may be required to cancel a trip due to force majeure (e.g., political instability, safety concerns, etc.). In such instances, a full refund of all payments made will be issued. However, no further compensation or additional claims will be considered.
